It's been a while (two weeks) since I've written anything, and to be honest it's been a while since I've had anything to write about. This has been my longest stay at a campground yet (all said and done it will be 8 nights), and I'm ready to move again.

I'm not fully in the swing of living in the RV. Even though I may still have an enormous to do list, and the view out of the windows changes every couple days, and there are some pretty major inconveniences, it's starting to feel like home in here.

Over the last week, I've had the luxury of a few moments of free time, unburdened by my mountainous to-do lists and work and projects. During these precious moments, I've reflected on what opportunities this project will afford me in the future, and the follow list was started, but by no means completed. It's actually been a pretty uneventful few days. I'm parked at a campground for the week, and I've been too busy with the rest of my life to get much done in the RV. Oddly enough, aside from the fact that my to-do lists are staring me in the face every day, reminding me that I have so much still to do, things are actually going pretty much as I had planned.

Today I'm sleeping off a little hangover, and traveling east to set up camp in mountain country for the weekend. While that's underway, and I'm getting all my hoses and plugs put together, packing up and battening down, I thought I'd finally share with you a video I've been working on of that most glorious move in day.

Some of you may have noticed that my consistency with which I am making updates to this blog is flagging since I made the move into the RV. Well, you're not wrong. It's been difficult to find time, and wifi, and inspiration to write a passably well written (well, by my standards) blog post over the last week, and now I'll make my excuses.

I don't know why it has taken me so long to make this update, and this announcement, but here we go.

As of Wednesday, April the 29th, 2015, at 7:00 o'clock PM, I have moved out of my house, and I officially live in my RV.

This weekend, I, with the help of my friends, made huge strides towards the end goal of this whole project, and for the first time in a long time, in fact, for the first time ever, I'm starting to see a glint at the end of the tunnel.

After the devastation of all my hopes and dreams (yes, that's hyperbole) last Saturday, I've spent a lot of time thinking about my plan to move in to the RV, and I've been doing a lot of rearranging of a lot of lists.

This weekend, for the first time ever, I've suffered a setback large enough to make me feel like the RV plan was a mistake.

There's a lot of transitioning going on, as I'm finishing up the final major repairs and tune ups, and getting my life moved over from the house, to the RV, and transitions cost money.

It's been a trying couple of days for the RV plan. Between my, so far, two failed attempts at repairing the leaking water line, and the rain slowing me down from attempt number three, and the mountain of work ahead of me, and many many drawing deadlines, I've found myself pretty damn close to shaking this whole thing off as a bad idea, cutting my losses, getting rid of the RV and resigning myself to a normal, boring life. To prevent that, I've gone and done something radical, something dangerous, and something that some might call down right stupid.

Today, (yesterday for you folk) I worked on the RV water system for several hours. While it doesn't feel like a lot got done, and plenty of mistakes were made, there were a few steps forward. Some minuscule, some massive.

A Long Time Coming

Like running into a friend from high school when you're doing your weekly shopping, I've returned to the blogging world, from out of nowhere, and in the most awkward way possible.

It's been a long time since my last update, so this is going to start rambling and crashing quite badly. The weather here is finally getting nice enough that I've been able to get outside and start working on the RV again. I've been focusing on it pretty intensely over the last week or so, and I've been able to get a lot of things finished, and a few things started.
